Snow is still on the south hills but our yard is full of blooming daffodils. It is frosty every night here but the last two days have hit 70. So it goes as winter turns into spring. With the changing weather seems to come an avalanche of work outdoors... pruning, planting, burning plus the usual bird surveys, complicated by weight and activity restrictions for a week after each eye surgery. In between I work like mad to get hooves trimmed. I should be trimming udders, too, but I'm running out of time before the next surgery. And then there's the greenhouse with watering and repotting needs. I should be working on the garden and planting seeds in the greenhouse, but have not even started that yet. It's all work I enjoy but... I sure am tired at night.
I'll post a few photos taken since my last blog post in the order they were taken... that may show the changing season best.

Snow!
I told Johnny this might be the last snowfall of the year and he still had not built a snowman. When I came in from the barn, this was at the back door.
Local lore says it always snows when the daffodils bloom... and it did...

March 17...
First bumblebee of the season |
